Matern
A spy from a poachers guild, posing as a mother to gain the trust of the community to get close to her target (see Lyss)
A very upbeat and flirtatious persona, a strong single mother. The only issue is she starts to get attached to her fake child Kian, given to her by the poachers. Especially when they start calling her 'Ma' instead of 'Mother'. She also starts getting attached to some of the people in the valley, Namely her best friend Gale and her Partners Emissary and Wilheim. Too bad she'll have to betray them eventually.
Pelt
Her true name. An object. A resource. A pet. She is owned by the leader of the Poachers, Blighton. When she kidnapped her target, betraying everyone in the valley, Some people felt wronged, glad to see her go. Others discover clues that she might not have committed such an act by her own freewill, they quickly discover she was also kidnapped and indoctrinated into this guild when she was young. So they set out to rescue her as well. Killing Blighton and permanently shutting down the poachers guild. But not before he punished her for failing her mission, taking her arm in combat.
Marie
Being brought back from the Poacher's guild, she has to get used to living as a free person, as well as trying to mend the relationships she broke. Choosing a new name so she can truly discover who she is. Her partners support her through this rocky transition, but her former best friend Gale isn't as trusting. They try to pretend everything is fine, even together discovering that she's a Pine Marten Selkie, her coat which housed her soul had been kept from her whilst in the Poachers Guild. After many trials and tribulations, fights and forgiveness, She and Gale, now Known as Neb, are able to move forward with an even stronger, undefined relationship.
She can now look forward to a better future with her partners, her children and her closest friends.
Currently she's learning about her Biological family, one of her friends happens to discover her long lost sister through a penpal in the city.
