Truffle is a runt; a small, unhatched hoglin egg that was quickly rejected by its herd upon gaining consciousness in a small hoglin pen at the Piglin Village near Auric's Casino. Thankfully, Marie and Gale were nearby when this happened! Marie pulled the little egg out of the pen and the two of them began trying to comfort and question the hoglet, with Laika joining them soon after.

Though rejected by all other hoglins that they meet, Truffle has imprinted on both Marie and Gale and is extremely attached to both Laika and Amanita.

• Truffle cannot leave the Nether as they begin to shake and take damage from The Sick, unless they eat/drink nether wart which makes them immune to the sick for short periods of time
• They are vegetarian
• Their magma cubes, banjo and sigmund, are named after two suggestions from Ghost for Truffle's name
• Oreos suggested Truffle as a name, and Ghost suggested Waddles (among many others)
