Cora was a young child who, after being released from stasis by a mysterious force, became the child of Katie LPS and Ghost Zone, eventually gaining quite a large family. At the perceived end of the world, the family chose to escape through a portal, with Cora going through with their younger brother Solace. They come out together 350 years in the future, but become separated after two weeks. From that moment, Cora spent years searching for Solace and the rest of the family. At some point when they were 18, they joined a rebellion of other teens and younger to take down a corrupt government, the celebration afterward eventually resulting in a pregnancy with twins. After reaching the age 23, Cora's physical age slow significantly. On their 28th year, an attack left their platonic partner dead and their children lost.

Cora moved on to more locations, losing another partner to a murder. Slowly they began to give up on continuing, a brief moment of happiness found in their fiancee, Rosinante. But once he was sacrificed by a cult, Cora finally fully gave up. Not long after, they were attacked by pillagers, disappearing into crystal flower petals as they died for the last time…

Or what was supposed to be the last time. A few days later they woke up in the abyss, an orb in their hand. Somehow, they had come back, and later on they learned that they had become a god. After around 20 years of being a god, Charybdis was sealed in their temple, painted as an evil god simply for protecting their domain. They prayed to Gummy, to the moon, to the stars for help, but no one came. Resentment grew, but eventually turned to exhaustion and depression, and they fell into a deep sleep.

After roughly 76 years of being sealed, the seal breaks and Emissary woke up free, ready to explore the world again.

• Swamp- Papa; Another of their favorite parents, always felt silly and happy around him, and became even closer after being unsealed and spent more time with him, trusts him with a lot of emotional things

• Lan and Toreador- The children Cora had at 18, feels like a failure for not being able to protect them, hopes they lived long and happy lives
• Esme- Rosi's daughter! He loves her so much, constantly wanting to show her off and hold her, trusts her to go off on her own

• Matern- One of the people that Rosi had become very close to, especially after Wilheim went missing. Had showed Matern not just their temple but also Equinox's temple, had become used to Matern being by his side at almost all times and had imagined a future of marriage and vassalhood. But the reveal of Matern being a poacher and having successfully took Lyss for a while has soured that, has broken Emissary's heart into pieces and left them dissociative and angry, wanting nothing more to hate her but unable to.
• Marie- Now that things are getting better, Rosi is excited to get to know Marie, the real one. Yes she was Matern before, but it's easier to think of them as two different people, Matern the mask and Marie the new person to learn about and to love. It was a bit awkward at first, but it's getting better, Rosi more comfortable with being sappy towards Marie.
