Whoever said otherwise is lying… after all, she's only 11, what could she have done? Killing two people? Ridiculous! The first one everyone is referring to? She never existed! How could she have replaced someone who never existed in the first place? (… still, it's ridiculous they would blame ???? for her death. After all, she did it by her own hand, it was the girl's death that brought her to life, not her existence that caused her death…) … Huh? “What about the other girl?” She has no idea! Why would she know? She has no idea who witnessed what, but ???? never killed someone! (… in a way, she never did. ???? doesn't fully understand the details, but that child's fate is far worse than death.) Regardless, you seem so sure I did something to this kid, and yet you can't remember her either! Neither does she! Again, why is everyone worried about ???? harming people that seemingly never existed?! … Still don't believe her?… Okay, that's fine. (Either way she'll get what she wants, free or not.)

Éden always thought of his existence as a burden. He didn't remember anything before 11, and his guardian said that was because before that she did an horrific crime, which is why his hands are stained, and the only way for her to walk free was to erase whatever thinking lead to that and start anew. He was told to not try remembering anything for their safety, and that was what they did for a long while. He doesn't remember his guardian anymore. He walked out of their house one day at 19 and found himself unable to find his way back, so he simply started wandering without a destiny. Until he found himself in the Isles and started a life there. Made friends, new memories, a new family… Still, he didn't remember his past properly. Without the memories of his guardian, his childhood is mostly blank. Was his guardian nice to him? Was he raised well?… Was his caretaker even a good person? Without realizing it he already started doubting, trying to remember bits and pieces of his past, anything… And then he gave up his life momentarily to repay for what he found out.

Éden is a creature made from a sacrifice, made to look human but nothing of the kind, his very being still made of the painting he originated from. His purpose was to fit in and adapt to humanity, all while consuming people's existence and their souls to make himself more powerful, to then use that power to gather followers. He was under the servitude of the deity who created him, but the moment his guardian erased his memory she disappeared together with his purpose. Now all that remained was his knowledge from this past. And Bianca. The soul he has been using to keep himself alive without him even knowing. The previous owner of the body he took. Someone who is stuck watching everything he does, receiving a punishment she never deserved. And between them, only one can experience life. And of course, they both think Bianca deserves life more. Which is why he tried giving his body back in the first place. Emphasis on tried.

Because it doesn't matter how much Éden thinks he doesn't deserve it, deep down he still wants to live. And if is family and friends agree that's what he'll do.
